Final preparations for the
“Under The Wings Of Imagination II”

On the evening of 24th July, leaders of European organizations taking part in the project “Under the wings of imagination” under action 1.1 of the Youth in Action Programme arrived to Motycz Lesny. The meeting was an APV and its goal was to discuss the state of preparations for the second part of our project which promotes fantastics and role play games in Europe as an active leisure activity for young people.

Having analysed the programme we agreed on the structure of our Internet portal which will be a successor of the website we had created during the first part of the project. This time it will comprise a lot of sections dealing with different topics, a forum for communication between the participants, a shoutbox and information about the organizations which have been participating in our enterprise for 2 years now.

What is more, the leaders of the organizations had an opportunity to see the places which will be used as venues for meetings with the local community during the programme (Kazimierz Dolny, Lublin). The APV ended on July 27.

During the project we want to publish a book as a record of our meeting, LARPs, Flash Mobs and Happenings created by the participants. We will visit Queen Jadwiga Private Lower Secondary School where we will promote our hobby among the youth. We will also invite the local community to the Youth Meetings House in Motycz Lesny where the countries participating in the project will present their traditions and trends in fantastics. The programme is also enriched with cultural and thematic evenings and numerous workshops related to the main topic of the meeting (artistic make-up, fire show, creating handouts for LARPs, dance and theatre classes, pedagogy of circus and play).

Our programme will start on September 1 and will last 13 days. Four organizations take part in the meeting, apart from the Happy Childhood Foundation, e.i. Sudota Village Community (Lithuania), Public Developing Center “Know Yourself” (Latvia), International Initiatives for Cooperation (Bulgaria), Association of Nonprofit Human Services of Hungary (Hungary).
