     We decided to prepare the next flash mob for local community. Action took place in big shopping centre in Klaipeda.

All participants are already in Vente village. Trip was long and quite hard. Polish group needed to go through snowy roads in the big fog, but  view of the landscape was amazing specially at the end of the road. Hungarian group needed to go to Warsaw, and from there to Klajpeda through Vilnius. Everything because of plane’s delay.

We were tired yesterday, but everyone was happy to see the new place and new people. Today is tuesday and we have integration from very beginning of the day.

     In a few hours polish group of fantasy fans is going to Lithuania. We will meet other fans from Lithuania, Hungary and Turkey. HERE is the place. First effects of the third part of Under the wings of imagination project already exists on our site. You can check new reviews in library section.

Meeting starts tomorrow afternoon. We will have fun with funtastics till 7th of february. You will find a lot of news on our web site in next few days. We will try to update the site with galleries, articles and news everyday.

Project “Under the wings of imagination III” has been approved by Lithuanian National Agency. The project will gather representatives from 4 countries: Lithuania, Poland, Hungary and Turkey. First meeting will be for group leaders and will take place in Vilnius (9th-11th of january 2011).

We have informations that our bulgarian friends are preparing application for next part of our project. We will know decision about it at the end of the year. Deadline is on first of november, and decision before the New Year’s day. It will be bilateral project with Poland and Bulgaria.

     At last it was time for the second big LARP in our timetable - “Monte Rosa”. As I was involved in its preparation I was nervous and worried for whole day.  I was asking myself all kind of questions – “Are we going to give the characters sheets on time, is everything written without any mistakes, did the players have good tasks and etc.”

We are sitting in a locked room, glancing at each other with suspicion. There is yet another sneeze, someone is coughing in the corner.
Normal cold?
Yeaaah, right.
And finally, it happened. Soon after breakfast something weird started to happen to all the people here. It started with some golden, Arabic symbols appearing around Kristian’s eyes while he was staring in the mirror, astonished. 

In a few minutes we are going to Zamość. Unfortunetaly it’s raining. We will have small sightseeing, a little, weird surprise for citizens of the city and some free time for everone. We want to see old town with beautiful town hall, park, cathedral and city walls.

The morning session was a bit different as a part of the group went to Lublin for a meeting. For the rest of us, the day started with two kinds of activities: theatre workshop run by Marcin, and literature workshop led by Dorota and Łukasz.

    In the former, after a short integrational game the group played various scenes. The participants presented short stories the main theme of which was ‘winning and losing’. Then, the workshops passed on to acting in accordance to the different pieces of music that Marcin played.

     They came to shoot us. Shoot with a killing camera a deathly film about how cockeyed are we in all this crazy costumes, freaky make-ups, with our outlandish stories. They came and took us to the forest and asked us to fight. -Catfight!!!-kffffffrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-huffed Gosia and Tony in an extraordinary way to show how just women can fight (like pussy pussy angry cats).

     You’ll be the evil queen-she whispered in my ear. The ear’ll be an important bodypart later…So my task was to grow corns and a tail, and turn my eyes into red in one day (I should ask Michael who has a pretty red eye, how to do it professionally…). This was my very first LARP, a drama without written paroles in advance, a neverending improvisation with surprising situations (par exemple I was killed by my husband, the king who was cursed by a birdy daemonish lady).

     The morning began with some kind of rush and everyone was nervous,  but somehow during the day we, the mobbers, prepared one great and really fantastic flash mob. To prepare the event, we needed to find a true celebrity - a real superstar. Luckily, we had a huge group from Hungary who happened to contain a celebrity - Anna Maria. That was the half of the problem. Next was the bodyguard for who we were looking for almost half a day. Suddenly, with a train of thought we found a guy from the Latvian group as an ideal bodyguard, so everything we were missing was a pair of sunglasses.

     Search for glasses and ponytail!-he said. But I had no time to think about or search him, ‘cause I found myself in a car next to the proprietary of the glasses and the ponytail, mostly I was picked up from the bus and kidnapped. I had no clue where we were heading from Lublin, in small and even smaller, muddy roads, fast and even faster…He laught at me, while the car’s speed reached 120 km/h, I smiled too, but not in the same way…Finally, we arrived to the middle of nothing, between goats, dogs and a cute little cat, so it’ll be probably a zookeeper training.

In a few minutes we are going to Lublin. This is our first trip. Everyone is excited, watch the streets in the center, maybe you will see some strange international groups ;-)

     Today the weather is like in April. Sun and rain is changing hour by hour. We learned about the method  Open Space and were creating several ideas for the next days, like preparing the Flash Mob for today’s evening in Lublin as well as thinking about the Live Chess Game and LARPs.

     On 1^st September 2010 every group taking part in “Under The Wings Of Imagination II” arrived after long journeys in the Youth Meeting Centre in Motycz Leśny near Lublin. After a night of rest we got to know each other better while taking part in funny and active integration games which was the best possibility to remember other people’s names. This action took its time – or can you immediately remember a name like Tautvydas or Małgorzata?? We also learned some Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian and Bulgarian words during the Language Animation Workshop.

     The Polish group is participating in the programme for the second time. Just like during the previous exchange, we wanted to share our knowledge and experience about fantasy/science fiction with people from other countries. We think that people from our group have many things to share with others. Many of the participants from our team are also members of “Grimuar” club, which associates students and young people interested in the topic of this exchange.

Information about our exchange occured in the biggest and the most prestige polish RPG, sci-fi & fantasy website called Poltergeist.

Hi guys! I just want you to know, that we’ll have a guests from ‘Dziennik Wschodni’ (the biggest and one of the most popular newspaper in Lublin county) on the exchange. The journalist - miss Agnieszka and - the photographer will come at monady (August 6) to make a reportage from the LARP game.

How to make homemade medieval letters or maps? What to do with a sheet of paper to make it look old and weird? How to decorate handouts for LARP game? Come and see handouts workshop, and create your own handout, which could be usable while gaming during the exchange. Sunday workshop chaired by Squirel.

On the evening of 24th July, leaders of European organizations taking part in the project “Under the wings of imagination” under action 1.1 of the Youth in Action Programme arrived to Motycz Lesny. The meeting was an APV and its goal was to discuss the state of preparations for the second part of our project which promotes fantastics and role play games in Europe as an active leisure activity for young people.

Next “Under the wings of imagination” programme is being prepared this time in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian National Agency will get the application on the 1st of june. We keep our fingers crossed!

We’ve got the printed version of the publication at last. It looks really nice and it will be great souvenir from the exchange. The work was really hard but at the end, the smell of our new minibook is the best price. We are planning to make it bigger during next part of the project.

     The LARP is taking more and more shape. Today the group didn’t just come up with some new ideas, but also they started to work on making them become real. The first characters were created and some of the mechanics rules were tested to ensure that the game would be enjoyable for everyone. Also, through role-play and creating convincing costumes, the acting and the costume workshops helped people realize how they will feel during the LARP.
 

     The international group from „Under the Wings of Imagination” programme spent the day away from Motycz. After breakfast everyone got inside the bus and traveled to Lublin. There, after some sightseeing of the Old Town, the group did their first flash mob.

This day started with a game of Charades. It is an important exercise which helps people to cooperate and communicate with one another.

Later the group started to work on one of the most important things in LARP – setting. While split into eight-person groups, people created small parts of the world in which the game will take place.

Another day has passed. Today we started talking about our main goal. We split into four groups: journalists, camera operators, artists and editors. Each of them got different tasks to complete during the program.

Integration day is always one of the most important parts of the programme. People have the chance to get to know each other through some “ice-breaking” games. That’s a great way to experience the first contact with other cultures - by learning new things while having fun.

People from Polish group prepared Intercultural Communication and Language Animations Workshops and organised the integration game “Kings of 40”.

The evening started with a presentation about the main goal of the program – LARP (Live Action Role-Play). The Polish and Bulgarian groups showed how do LARPs look in their countries.
 

A promotional campaign of our programme has started today on the Radio Centrum. At 11.30 AM you could hear an interview with a representative of the Happy Childhood Foundation and with Polish participants - the members of “Grimuar” students’ club.
